Vikings Red lost 9-2 last night to 5 Lakes. After being up 2-0 after period 1. A few deflections, breakaway rebound goals and quick cross-ice passes and shots put the Vikings in the hole after the 2nd 4-2. The 3rd was penalty shots and more of the same.
Missed opportunities on penalty shots and a 4 on 1 pretty much summed up the remainder of the game for us. Sapun did have a bone crushing “hit” on someone twice his size though, and a solid job blocking shots by all!
Good effort by all! Let’s get back out there and get ready for Garmish!
