From May 14th to 16th the Vikings finally wrapped up their ice hockey season by traveling to Paris, France to play in the Colombes Cup against teams from Russia, France, Sweden, Britain, and the Czech Republic. The tournament capped the most eventful year yet for HC Wiebaden. Teams competed in the Rhein-Main Hockeyliga and the DPL, and played in tournaments in Paris, Limburg, and Garmisch. Vikings BLACK captured the RMHliga championship and placed 3rd in their first year in the DPL’s top division. Vikings RED won the Division 2 championship in the Armed Forces Alpine Classic. The team is now moving on to their inline hockey season, but will be ready to take the ice again in the fall!
